Control an experiment

After you launch an experiment, the experiment page is the control surface: progress, best trial, trials grid, logs, and run controls.

Action What it does
Pause Stops suggesting new trials. In-flight trials may finish.
Resume Sets the experiment back to running so suggestions continue (subject to credits and limits).
Stop Stops new work and drains the experiment toward a stopped state.
Delete Cancels active trials, settles billing for unfinished work, and tears down experiment resources (including log purge).

Overview

Progress, best trial, and trend of the objective over completed trials.

Trials

Filterable grid of parameter sets, statuses, and metrics. Open a trial for details.

Logs

Container logs for debugging missing metrics or failed starts.

Configuration

Read-only view of image, command, search space, objectives, machines, and env.

Suggestions pause or stop when any of these apply:

  • Experiment is paused or stopped
  • Credit balance is insufficient for the next trial reservation
  • Experiment spend limit is reached
  • Failure budget (max failed trials) is exhausted
  • Max trials is reached
  • Workspace or experiment parallelism is saturated
  • Optional goals are met (all objective goals on the same trial)

If the overview shows a balance stall, top up credits or upgrade on Plans and credits, then resume if needed.
